I am writing regarding a November 29 news conference in Columbia, South Carolina, that is being jointly sponsored by the National Health Council and the Alzheimer's Association. Your active support of this effort is critical to its success.
The news conference will highlight the Council's CEO Statement in support of health and long-term care coverage for all Americans. The presidential candidates and their staffs also will be invited to attend.
How can you help?
We are seeking to recruit 100 patients to attend and show their support for these efforts while representing Us TOO International and furthering our mission of serving as an advocate for prostate cancer patients and their families.
We are also looking for individuals who have a compelling story to tell about their health or long-term care coverage.
If you are in the Columbia, SC area and are willing to speak out about the lack of insurance and its impact on your care,
please contact me ASAP to let me know you are
available. The presentation will be no more than 5 minutes long and we can work with you to craft some talking points or a "speech." It would mainly focus on your personal story, as opposed to health policy.
Thank you for your action, and ongoing support of Us TOO.
See flyer with details about the event, including
directions (***Note time and location change: The new time is from 10-11:30 a.m. (rather than 9:30-11 a.m.), and the new venue is in downtown Columbia, at the Clarion Town House Hotel, Camellia
Room).

Candidates, signed by 48 CEOs of the nation's leading patient groups
